Student Matinees

Student Matinees are specially scheduled weekday shows offered to area schools for Commonweal productions playing during the school year.
For only $5 per student, classes receive the following:
- Theatre ticket
- Pre-show workshop by the actors (on request)
- Theatre lobby art installation tour (on request)
- Post-show talk-back
Our goal is to expose every student in our eleven-county region to a professional production at the Commonweal, and come away with a greater understanding of how theatre can teach us about ourselves, each other, and our place in the world. Our students also felt at home in the Commonweal Theatre; going on field trips is rare at RPS these last few years, so they felt fortunate to get to attend a student matinee.
