We Can’t Do This Without You!
Part of the community, because of the community.
The Commonweal Theatre is a beautiful work of art in the charming town of Lanesboro. Once you’re in your seats and the show begins, you forget that you’re in a city of under 1,000 residents. This is professional theatre at its best!” — Jayne .

One of our primary goals is to make theatre financially accessible to everyone. You can help us achieve that goal with an individual donation or a long-term pledge to the MDC—the heart of our donor program. Your generous contributions help us to keep ticket costs low. You can also make in-kind donations or help us find businesses interested in underwriting one of our productions. And of course, we would always love to see you in person—your donation of time and skills as a volunteer is invaluable. With your help, we can continue to bring great stories to life.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP
I am continually amazed at the quality of theater that you continue to bring to SE Minnesota. You are a true gem in our Cultural Mix for SE Minnesota.”—Walter
As we say after every show, it is only through individual donations that we have been able to create professional live theatre in Lanesboro for the past thirty plus years. Your contribution today will allow us to keep true to our mission of enriching the common good through actor based storytelling which is both transcendent and relevant.
