Our Regional Engagement Tour Was a Great Success!

Through the use of a generous grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council, we sent the Commonweal on tour!

Stones in His Pockets, by Marie Jones, featuring Hal Cropp and Josiah Laubenstein and directed by Rachel Kuhnle, played several one-night only engagements across the region this fall to appreciative audiences.

Stones in His Pockets: A rural Irish village is turned on its head by the arrival of a film crew from the United States. When Charlie Conlon and Jake Quinn are cast as extras in the film, they realize that Hollywood’s romanticized Ireland stands in stark contrast to the reality of their day-to-day lives. Stones in His Pockets features Commonweal ensemble members Hal Cropp and Josiah Laubenstein playing all fifteen characters in a delightful theatrical feat.
